2025

This time of year always gets me thinking: what's the difference between 2024 and 2025? There really isn't any. People use New Year's eve to set goals for the coming year, goals they hope to accomplish so that, in 365 days, they can proudly say "I did it". It's always admirable that people set goals to improve, improving is good, but New Year's objectives often fade as the months go by, leaving most of them unfinished.

The process of accomplishing an objective is a tough journey, with its ups and downs. It is challenging, demanding and sometimes really hard. Like a mountain trail, it requires persistence and resilience. Everyone likes to say they are ready to work hard to reach their goals, but how many are actually willing to face the sacrifices and challenges along the way? The pain and effort are not for everyone.

In my case, I have not achieved my goals yet, but I keep working on them. My goals do not change and are not tied to time; they are timeless. That is why I keep moving forward, learning from setbacks, and using them to get better in the future. I can already see the results of my work, which is why I keep pushing forward to truly succeed, building on the momentum I have gained.

I will keep working, regardless of the time or year. I will keep putting in the effort. As a friend once told me, "You can beat 99% of people simply by doing it rather than talking about it", and that could not be more true.

Goals are not tied to a calendar, they can be pursued at any moment. So, why wait for the New Year to set them?
